Family

Nothing makes me happier than spending time with my family~  This past Sunday, My husband and I spent the afternoon at the park with two of our daughters and three grandchildren!  The leaves on the trees were changing colors and many leaves were all over the ground!  Javon, Carter, and Mercedes were having the time of their lives making one huge pile of leaves!  When they thought the pile was big enough, they took turns, one by one, laying on the pile and having us cover them with leaves!  It was such fun to watch them and take pictures of their silly little stunts..WE had leaf fights , races and all sorts of fun that day.....They made little boats out of leaves and let them float down the creek
!  I was having such fun and didnt want the day to end, but it was getting dark  so we went to Gramma's house and I made a nice chicken stir fry for supper!   They went home, and I miss them alot, but will see them again Sunday!  For now I will just look at the pictures and talk to them on the phone once in awhile...........and SMILE!

I LOVE YOU!

My five Challenge projects for The Cropped Event

My favorite of the five challenges.  We had to use all 9 squares and make 9 mini layouts and use the co-ordinating paper layerz sheet to cut out embellishments.  I just love how it all tied together....  The bottom photo is our wedding picture, middle row photo is us now and the top photo is Wally and I one Halloween .......hence the title of this layout~ I wanna grow old with you! I love it!
In this challenge, she wanted us to use at least seven circles and the color teal.  I like making birthday cards for kids........I think it is pretty neat.  Maybe some little kid will like it.

This challenge was to do a card or  anything that used Subway Art.  I had never heard of Subway Art , so did some quick research and found out it is word art....Megan said to use our favorite quote, song or Bible Verse.  This is one of favorite songs right now, so that is what I chose.  I  like it okay, but am going to practice making more of these in the future!

The first challenge was to use the masking technique shown on the dvd that Megan sent.  I dont think mine turned out the greatest, but I learned something that I had never tried before...I will practice and get better!  It was really fun to do!

I loved the last challenge, even though it was a little hard.  We had to make anything , using only paper and adhesives.  We couldnt use embellishments of any kind, or even any journaling.  I started out by using a sheet that was included with my kit .    I cut out the Santa and letters using a pretty pink paper and also matted the snowflake paper with the same pink.    It is a simple layout, but I really love it alot.   At Christmas time, I will take a photo of the grand kids and add to this mat.......

Well, The Cropped Event is over , and I had a really great time !  I participated all week-end long!  I didnt win any of the prizes, but I felt like I won alot!
Megan, Britten and Shawn  made the Crop so much fun!   I learned so much valuable information for Crafting~  There are alot of new tips and techniques that I will be practicing, along with alot of new products to try!  I can't wait to participate in another crop~hopefully really soon!  What a way to make learning  FUN!
I am going to post  a picture of the five challenges that I completed!  I found out that when
you are given a challenge, you are motivated to find that inspiration that hides somewhere in
your heart and soul!   And that's what crafting is all about my friends!
